Get New Year's kicks with the Wave

The Milwaukee Wave kicks in the new year with a matinee game against the Baltimore Blast at the U.S. Cellular Arena.Watching The Wave on New Year's Eve is one of the most popular family holiday events - The Wave typically chalks up some of its biggest attendance numbers of the season on New Year's Eve.The team has a couple of close losses in previous New Year's Eve matches. It lost 13-12 in a heartbreaker against the Philadelphia Kixx in 2006 and 10-4 against the Detroit Ignition in a game that was closer than it sounds in 2007. But it won last year, 14-10, against a ferocious Chicago Storm. Wave forward Giuliano Oliviero scored a hat trick in the final three minutes of the game.
