779444-it-s-june-3rd---and-gigs-are-set-for-largest-music-festival-in-the-world This year is a pretty good year for gigs at Summerfest for me. Not so much the quantity, but the quality. So we have Sunday, June 27th - I'm singing back up for Jon Paris, a wonderful blues guitarist and vocalist from Milwaukee, Wisconsin who currently resides in New York City. We will be playing on the M&I Classic Rock Stage at 6:30pm - opening for BB King. I finally get to meet him and Lucille:) That's so exciting!

Then, we have Chick Singer Night on Monday, June 28th - The Briggs and Stratton Stage at 2:30pm. This gig is awesome because it features a mixture of the Best of the Best as far as Milwaukee vocalists are concerned. I can not wait to be up on that stage with those amazing musicians, sharing our music with each other and with the people who take the time out to come see us. Some great surprises at this show. It is ALWAYS a good time:)

Midnight Groove on Tuesday, June 29th - Jo Jo's Martini Lounge. 8:00pm. Bolded in the program as a headliner. What a year it's been for my band. We won the WAMI for best R&B/Soul group of 2010, which was a total surprise. I am really looking forward to this year with my group

. Then Saturday, July 3rd. Streetlife. M&I Classic Rock Stage - 7:30pm, opening for Peter Frampton. You could not get a better time, a better day, a better stage and or a better act to open for. I have some great things lined up for this show, and Streetlife is going to really bring it this night.

After booking the gig with Jon Paris, I looked at my schedule for the end of June, beginning of July and found that I am booked on June 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 - July 1, 3 and 4. I guess now I do feel kind of like a rock star:)

This has been the most amazing year personally and musically for me. I am so very blessed, and most of the time feel like I shouldn't be. But I know according to what I've learned that I deserve to have a happy life that is full of things that I don't have to hold onto and keep for myself. I can share these things. Even if only one person gets it and finds some meaning out of it, I feel completely satisfied with what I've done. I have amazing friends, an amazing family, an unbelievably awesome son, a wonderful supportive and encouraging husband, and I have God. With all of this, it's no wonder that music and things personally would be going as well as they are.

I may have some pitfalls, and some debris along the way, but I've got the tools - the people - and the music to make it all good:)
