Cool Concerts

Two great bands are coming to Milwaukee in the coming months.

The dreamy, ethereal pair known as Beach House is coming to the Pabst for a $10 show, and electronic party starters Passion Pit will be playing the same night at Turner Hall.

Beach House has three phenomenal albums under their belt, and have played with Grizzly Bear on recent tours. If you enjoy music that lulls you off to sleep Beach House's tunes do just that. Their otherworldly aura is like an overdose of Ambian to the ears. Beautiful stuff.

Passion Pit had one of the best albums of 2008 called Manners. It is a party record with earworm beats and helium vocals: fun, festive stuff.

In other concert news, Summerfest officials must be j*zzing their shorts already: two classic rock titans are touring together this summer, hitting stadiums and arenas.

Who? The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac.

Even I have to contend that this is a kicka** bill. Both bands are classic rock staples: both have dozens of Top Ten and #1 singles between them.

Plus it'd be kinda cool if Don Henley and Stevie Nicks performed that one song they did together.
